The Robert Goodman Band, an American
musical experience at its finest.
Hybrid Sound:
The Robert Goodman Band has rekindled a
spirit that made music timeless –building
upon today’s current events and the history
of our great nation for inspiration. In
November of 2002, Robert Goodman, a
noted songwriter, pianist and vocalist, joined
with bassists Rick Shepherd, percussionist
Mark Nemcek and guitarist Dave Rubinstein,
to form this unique Band. Igniting a
passionate flame of creativity in this new
project the band has revived expressions of
world peace, respecting the environment,
ending poverty, and promoting freedom –
this is the intention behind the themes found
in this remarkable original sound. The
incomparable group chemistry found within
this brotherhood of musicians is notable in
the rich musical style they produce.
Although he’s been writing and performing
his original music for over 20 years,
Goodman’s latest venture has brought
together such diverse and creative
influences that it has become a truly unique
listening experience.
All at once, beautiful, articulate and edgy, the
band energizes the lyrics of each song with a
unique blend of music genres, resulting in a
series of songs that have to be considered
“current classics.” Their forthcoming CD
“Everything Is Beautiful” captures the spirit of
American music in all of its subtle forms, and
the clear rhythmic, harmonic, and melodic
tapestry it has created comes through
